First, we set clear expectations and provide our clients a diverse candidate pool. We will communicate clearly any challenges about the overall goal and focus on hiring the best candidate for the position. Best Practices include gaining important insight from a diverse group of employees so that our information about the search and community is beyond well rounded.

At Curative Executive Search, we want to champion change in diversity and inclusion that only works if it is top-down and discussed regularly and openly. We work with our clients to review our interview plan and questions to ensure we are achieving a truly holistic and integrated approach that will build an inclusive team culture. A key component is to ensure that there is a diverse group of people involved in the interview process.

As an organization, we are open to providing EQ assessment on candidates earlier in the process for those that might not have the same level of leadership experience. This will allow employers to focus on what a candidate brings to the table rather than what they have done in leadership in the past. This inclusion allows more opportunity for a diverse candidate pool.

Our Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Group will review our job descriptions and advertisements before posting anything in the marketplace. We will strive to keep job descriptions more generic to further avoid any bias. We will utilize tools and software that can help drive accountable change.

Our team is focused on supporting and developing relationships and partnerships with organizations like, but not limited to, The National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE), National Medical Association (NMA) for African American physicians, the National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA), Association of Women Surgeons (AWS), the National Council of Asian Pacific Islander Physicians (NCAPIP), American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA), and The Society of Black Academic Surgeons (SBAS). These organizations allow us to more broadly advertise with the mission to support, encourage and foster diversity and inclusion.
